Apple Turnovers

1 tbsp. Hy-Vee unsalted butter | ||
2 Braeburn apples, peeled, cored and chopped | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee raisins | ||
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee packed brown sugar | ||
1 tsp. Hy-Vee cinnamon | ||
¼ tsp. allspice | ||
2 (8 oz each) tubes Hy-Vee refrigerated crescent roll dough | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee powdered sugar, optional |
Directions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir in apples, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice. Stirring constantly, cook 4 minutes or until apples are tender. Cool completely.
- Separate crescent roll dough into triangles.
- Place 1 tablespoon apple mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Roll each triangle up and place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Cool on cooling rack.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
