Apple Pie with English Toffee Cookie Crumble
Servings and Ingredients
|1 Hy-Vee ready-to-bake refrigerated pie crust|
|6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced|
|2 Hy-Vee bakery English toffee cookies, finely crushed|
|1 c. Hy-Vee flour|
|½ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar|
|½ c. cold Hy-Vee butter, cut into pieces|
|4 Hy-Vee bakery English toffee cookies, coarsely crushed|
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate and place on a baking sheet; set aside.
- Toss apples with finely crushed cookies and spoon into pie crust.
- Combine flour and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in coarsely crushed cookies. Sprinkle evenly over apples.
- Bake pie on baking sheet for 75 to 80 minutes or until topping is golden brown and pie is bubbly. Cool on a wire rack.
