8 c. Kellogg's maple and brown sugar frosted mini-wheats | ||
1 c. honey-roasted almonds | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee margarine, melted | ||
¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
¼ c. light corn syrup | ||
1 tsp. almond extract | ||
4 c. popped Hy-Vee kettle corn |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Place cereal and almonds in a greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and almond extract. Stir well.
- Pour evenly over cereal and almonds. Stir to coat.
- Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir in kettle corn.
- Pour onto a sheet of waxed paper to cool completely.
- Store in an air-tight container.
- Serves 18.
