8 c. Kellogg's maple and brown sugar frosted mini-wheats
1 c. honey-roasted almonds
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee margarine, melted
¼ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar
¼ c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. almond extract
4 c. popped Hy-Vee kettle corn

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Place cereal and almonds in a greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine melted margarine, brown sugar, corn syrup and almond extract. Stir well.
  4. Pour evenly over cereal and almonds. Stir to coat.
  5. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and stir in kettle corn.
  7. Pour onto a sheet of waxed paper to cool completely.
  8. Store in an air-tight container.
  9. Serves 18.
  10. Daily Values: 6% vitamin A, 4% vitamin C, 8% calcium, 45% iron.
