Almond Butter Hummus

Description
Almond butter provides a slightly sweet flavor for this classic appetizer. This recipe uses it in place of tahini, the sesame seed paste used in traditional recipes. Try this as a heart-healthy dip or sandwich spread.

Fresh vegetables, including carrots, bell peppers and jicama, cut into strips, optional |
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor and blend to a smooth, creamy consistency. If too thick, add 1 teaspoon of warm water or chickpea liquid at a time and blend until desired consistency. Refrigerate until serving.
- Serve almond butter hummus with pita chips or fresh vegetables.
