Description

We all want what’s best for baby. The perfect place to start? Homemade purees made with fresh fruits and veggies. These DIY recipes are easy to make, inexpensive and filled with wholesome all-natural ingredients.

Plus, spend more time with baby by cooking ahead. Simply spoon the puree into ice cube trays, freeze for 8 hours, and then transfer cubes to a resealable plastic bag. You can store them in the freezer up to 3 months!

    Hyvee Dietitian Expert Tip
“Gradually introduce your infant to foods, one at a time to detect any allergic reaction. Begin dairy, such as nut butters, eggs or soy, starting at about 6 months of age. With each new food, wait a few days to make sure your baby doesn’t have a reaction such as diarrhea, vomiting or a rash.” —Kimberly Proctor, RD, LD
