    Preparing a pork crown roast is easier (and even more delicious) than it looks! Ask a Hy-Vee meat expert to prep and tie your roast and follow these steps to impress all your guests around the dinner table.

    1. Prep
      Special order your crown roast from the Hy-Vee meat department and ask them to French the bones and tie the roast together. Press a ball of foil into the roast cavity to hold the cavity open during the first 2 hours of roasting.

    2. Make Stuffing
      Make the stuffing according to recipe instructions. 

    3. Stuff
      Remove foil and spoon stuffing loosely into the crown. During second stage of roasting, it will absorb flavor from the pork. Add any stuffing that doesn't fit inside the roast to a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

    4. Done!
      Insert an instant-read meat thermometer in several places in the pork, avoiding fat and bone. Be sure that the pork has reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees and stuffing has reached 165 degrees.
