Heather Wright is the registered dietitian at your West Locust Hy-Vee. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nutrition/dietetics at Northern Illinois University, and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Heather is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and continues to stay updated with current trends in nutrition and research through further continuing education and training. Additionally, she is a trained facilitator of the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking program.
Heather is passionate about providing the community the tools to live healthy and happy. She is available to help meet your nutritional needs through various services, which include personal or group supermarket tours, personal nutrition counseling, health screenings and out-of-store nutrition programs.

Learn how to enhance your health by putting favorable foods in your shopping cart…and in your body.
Nutrition presentations are great for employee wellness programs, schools, churches and more. Heather will come to your business or organization to present a nutrition topic designed for your group’s interests. Popular topics include diabetes, quick and healthy cooking, packing a healthy lunch, shopping on a budget, “superfoods” and lowering cholesterol. Heather will bring education materials, recipes and food to sample.
Freedom From Smoking
The West Locust Hy-Vee Health and Wellness team is certified to teach the American Lung Association smoking cessation program. The class meets eight times over seven weeks and may be offered at your worksite. Price includes cost of all program materials.
