I attended the Art Institutes International—Kansas City and graduated with honors with my Associate’s Degree in applied science. While at school, I learned classic cooking techniques and excelled in Asian and world cuisines. I found a love for fusion and fine dining, along with a love for working at Hy-Vee.
I have worked for Hy-Vee since 2002, formerly serving as a Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits Manager. During my time in Wine & Spirits, I completed my Certified Wine Specialist training, gaining knowledge of wines from around the world. One of my favorite things to do is pair great wine and food. I have a passion for sharing my knowledge of food and wine with my customers, while showing them that it is not difficult to get into the kitchen and make a gourmet meal for their friends and family.
