Hy-Vee Celebrates Veterans Day With Free Breakfast For Veterans

WEST DES MOINES, IA. — Hy-Vee stores throughout the Midwest will once again celebrate Veterans Day by offering a free breakfast to all veterans and active-duty military members.

Greg Frampton, assistant vice president, food service for Hy-Vee, said the free breakfast buffet on Monday, November 12 is the company’s way of thanking veterans and military members for their service to the country. “Each year, this event just gets bigger and better,” Frampton said. “It’s a tradition we look forward to all year long.”

Frampton said Hy-Vee expects to serve more than 80,000 veterans and their guests this year at more than 200 Hy-Vee stores in eight states.

The buffet is complimentary for veterans and open to others at a small cost. Some stores have planned programs, displays, entertainment or other activities to go along with the breakfast; check with local stores for details.
