Linda Carruthers is a registered dietitian/nutritionist and licensed dietitian at your Hy-Vee store in Windom.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from South Dakota State University.  She has many years of experience in providing clinical dietitian services to clients in clinic, hospital and long-term-care settings. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  Linda has a passion for wellness and believes that the hands-on approach of helping clients learn nutrition right in the grocery store can be of tremendous benefit.   Linda enjoys working with people and helping them learn how to eat healthier to improve their quality of life.

Services include:

Personal Shopping Assistance - No Charge.  Available on Tuesday and Friday and other times by appointment.  Make an appointment with Linda and take a walk through the supermarket to find healthy foods in every aisle. Get help with meal suggestions and receive guidance for special dietary needs.  Email lcarruthers@hy-vee.com to schedule a visit or call the store to set up an appointment.

Individual and Group Grocery Store Tours - No Charge.  Join Linda right in the store for an informative, practical and fun tour!  You will leave armed with loads of advice on how to start eating healthier to improve your health.  Learn about NuVal, how to read labels, which aisles are best for finding the healthiest choices, how to shop on a budget, where to find heart-healthy, weight-friendly and carb-controlled items that still taste good.  This tour lasts 1 hour.

Linda is also available to provide individual and group classes in the community or in the store.  There may be a cost associated with this. Please contact Linda for more information.
