Dale Miller, a native of Nashua, Iowa, comes to Newton Hy-Vee with over 35 years of restaurant experience. He received an associate’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from Des Moines Area Community College. He furthered his education at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, California. Dale has a wide range of experience, including working over 15 years in food service in private dining clubs across the United States as an executive chef for a large retail company, as well as owning his own restaurant for over 10 years. Dale is excited about working with his customers to create any kind of dishes, from upscale to ethnic or even comfort dishes. Dale also hosts a two-night Food and Wine monthly dinner where he creates a 6-course meal, then shares his recipes with his guests. He has two designated areas in the store where customers can choose from numerous Chef Dale Creations to take home.
