DISH with the Dietitian is back! Seven customer-voted favorites return to the DISH menu plus three new, summer-inspired recipes!

In less than two hours, take home 10 family-size meals you can keep in the freezer until you're ready to cook them without the hassle of planning, shopping, prep and clean-up!

How does DISH work?

When you arrive, the dining area will be set up with 10 stations. Each station will already be equipped with all the ingredients and utensils a group of 2 to 3 people will need to prepare up to 25 bundles of one recipe, assembly line-style. It's most fun if you register with your friends and family so they can be in your group! In a whirlwind of 2 hours, 10 well-oiled teams churn out up to 250 meals! It's truly a rewarding and productive experience!

Thursday, May 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Can't make it to these workshops but want to still have the meals? Ask a friend or family member to attend in your place or we can prepare the meals for you for an additional $40.

These delicious DISH recipes were developed with care by Laura, Lenexa Hy-Vee Registered Dietitian, to include colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and low-fat dairy and to avoid added sodium (salt), added sugar, and excess saturated and trans fats.

Cost:

Cost for DISH with the Dietitian is $140 (plus tax) and includes 10 meals with four or more servings packaged for freezer storage and reusable shopping bags to transport everything home. (That's 40 servings for only $3.50 each!) Payment must be made as soon as possible by visiting Lenexa Hy-Vee Customer Service or by calling (913) 438-8308 with your credit card number and expiration date.

Extra Details for Attendees:

Consider wearing comfortable shoes, minimal jewelry, and your hair secured. Aprons will be provided, but you might want to wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting a bit dirty. Leave as many belongings in your car as possible to minimize clutter since space is limited. When you arrive, please check in and make a name tag. You are welcome to walk around the stations, look through recipes and chat until everyone has arrived. There will be a short introduction about the program and recipes, then the fun begins!

Food safety is a top priority with our DISH program since we will be feeding so many families! Therefore, we encourage everyone to use the available hand-washing sink and hand sanitizer frequently and to change gloves often. Hair nets will be provided to secure hair. Sustainability is also a priority; the Lenexa Hy-Vee DISH program is designed to minimize waste and bins to sort compost, cardboard, cans, and plastic will be available.
