Gluten-free cooking was one of the top 10 culinary trends for 2013, and the buzz surrounding gluten-free diets has remained high in 2014. What exactly is gluten, and should I be worried? Courtney Kruse, Hy-Vee registered dietitian and wellness coach, will explain what gluten is and what foods contain gluten, discuss the health conditions that require a strict gluten-free diet as well as proper testing for those health conditions, and share how to adopt a gluten-free diet if necessary. Courtney will also provide recipes and take-home educational materials on the gluten-free diet.
