Junior Chefs Cooking Class

According to the Centers for Disease Control, only 1 in 10 Americans eat enough fruits and vegetables each day. If half of Americans increased their consumption of fruits and veggies by a single serving each day, 20,000 cancer cases could be prevented annually.
This summer our in-store dietitian, Jennifer, will be leading junior chef cooking classes focused on increasing fruit and vegetable consumption and the basics of preparing nutritious, homemade meals. These classes will be geared towards adolescents ages 9-14 years old.
The August class participants will make a full meal and sit down to eat in a family style setting. The menu for this month's class is:
- Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
- Cauliflower Rice
- Citrus Asian Broccoli Slaw
- Individual Raspberry & Peach Crisps
