Simple Fix with the Dietitian

Location: Kitchen Cafeteria
Type: Cooking Class

Are you short on time and need a fast, healthy dinner each night of the week? Or are you trying to eat healthier this year? We have you covered! Tables will be assembled for class participants to prepare their own freezer-ready meals. Your Barry Road Hy-Vee dietitian, Laura, will do all the shopping and prep the ingredients. Each recipe serves a family of four and is 500 calories or fewer per serving. You will leave with seven “dietitian-approved” meals ready to freeze until you need them.

The recipes we will be making this month:

  • Black Bean Sweet Potato Enchilada Casserole
  • Garlicky Roasted Shrimp and Feta
  • Slow Cooker Smoky Sweet Potato and Chickpea Chili with Lime
  • Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo remake
  • Slow Cooker Crack Chicken
  • Coconut Lime Chicken
  • Pineapple Jerk Pork Chops

Total cost is around $100. (This includes $10 class fee.) (May fluctuate with market price.)

Have your Fuel Saver card ready! Fuel Saver amount for all groceries will be divided among guests.

Same-day confirmation is required. If confirmation is not received, you will forfeit your spot in the class.

Can't make it to class? You can pick up the meals for an extra $15 service fee. Please call Laura for this option.
