Hy-Vee dietitians will be offering 1,000 screenings at more than 40 locations throughout September.
Screening takes 15-20 minutes and includes a complete printout of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, TC/HDL (total-cholesterol-to-HDL ratio and serum glucose. Blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index are also obtained. Fasting 10-12 hours prior is required and appointments are given first-come, first-served basis.
