Throughout the month of September, your Lincoln market Hy-Vee dietitian will be offering FREE cholesterol screenings. Because of our generous sponsors, Smart Chicken Bone Broth & Birds Eye Vegetables, free screenings will be provided in recognition of National Cholesterol Education Month.
A biometric screening is a combination of measurements and readings about certain health factors that may be helpful in identifying potential risk factors for heart disease, hypertension or diabetes.
Your dietitian will collect several body measurements. She will collect a blood sample from a finger prick that will be used to determine your cholesterol levels, triglycerides and glucose levels. Fasting 10 to 12 hours prior is required (water and medication are okay to take).
