Katie and Nina will be offering a FREE Family Friendly Meals Cooking Class on September 24 at 5:30 via Zoom!
They will walk you through a breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipe to show how delicious and easy it is to make and enjoy our meals together.

You will need the following ingredients for class:
For the breakfast banana splits:
- 1 banana
- ½ cup Greek yogurt (any flavor)
- 3 Tbsp. granola
- ¼ cup berries
- 1 Tbsp. dark chocolate chips
For the California Dreamin’ Pita Pockets
- 3 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp ranch seasoning mix
- 2 pita pockets
- 1 slice Colby jack Cheese
- 4 butter lettuce leaves
- ¼ cup chopped avocado
- 1 small tomato, seeded and chopped
- 1 small cucumber, sliced
- Turkey slices, optional
For the Turkey Tomato Pasta
- 4 ½ Tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 ½ cups (about 42oz) crushed tomatoes in puree
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp salt
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- ½ pound ground turkey (or lean ground beef or ground chicken!)
- ¾ pound whole wheat pasta or Barilla Protein Plus Pasta
- Grated parmesan cheese, for garnish
- 4-5 quarts of water
You will need the following supplies for class:
- A butter knife
- Cutting board
- Spoon
- Mixing spoon
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Sauce pan with lid
- Chef’s knife
- Pasta pot
- Strainer
- Heat safe spoon/ladle
- Stove top
- Small bowl
