    4 tbsp. butter
    1 c. heavy cream
    ½ c. white syrup
    8 large marshmallows (or 80 small ones)
    1 to 2 c. nuts, optional

    Directions

    1. Bring sugar, butter, cream, and syrup to a boil; cook to soft-ball stage.
    2. Add marshmallows.
    3. Beat with mixer until cool; add nuts and spread into buttered 8x8-inch pan.
