1 Hy-Vee cinnamon stick
1 (1-lbs.) container Hy-Vee Short Cuts strawberries
1 (14-oz.) can Hy-Vee sweetened condensed milk
4 oz. Finagren's Irish whiskey
1 tbsp. Hy-Vee vanilla extract
Hy-Vee red food coloring, if desired
Fresh strawberries, for garnish
Fresh mint, for garnish

Directions

  1. Add rinsed rice to a medium bowl; add water and cinnamon stick. Cover and let stand at room temperature at least 4 hours or overnight. 

  2. Uncover; remove cinnamon stick. Transfer rice mixture to a blender; add strawberries. Cover and blend until smooth. Strain mixture into a large pitcher.

  3. Stir in sweetened condensed milk, whiskey, and vanilla extract. If desired, tint with red food coloring. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

  4. Serve in ice-filled cocktail glasses. Garnish with fresh strawberries and mint, if desired.
