    1 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 (14.5 oz) cans Hy-Vee diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
    1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee tomato sauce
    2 tsp. Hy-Vee chili powder
    1 (15 oz) can Hy-Vee light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    Hy-Vee shredded cheddar cheese, optional

    Directions

    1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is brown. Drain.
    2. Pour beef, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning and kidney beans into a greased 4-quart slow cooker.
    3. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
    4. Top with cheese if desired.
