    ¼ c. water
    ¼ c. vinegar
    3 tbsp. canola oil
    ½ c. chili sauce or ketchup
    3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tbsp. dry mustard
    freshly ground pepper to taste
    2 tbsp. chopped onion
    3 lbs. frying chicken pieces (legs, thighs), skinned

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Lightly spray baking pan with cooking spray.
    3. Combine water, vinegar, canola oil, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, ground black pepper and onion in a saucepan over medium heat.
    4. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Set aside.
    5. Rinse chicken pieces and pat dry.
    6. Place chicken pieces in prepared pan.
    7. Pour half of water mixture over chicken and bake, uncovered, 50 to 60 minutes. Baste chicken with remaining sauce every 15 minutes of baking.
