    1 c. Hy-Vee unsalted butter
    2 tsp. water
    ⅛ tsp. Hy-Vee salt
    1 tsp. Hy-Vee pure vanilla extract
    6 oz. Hy-Vee semi-sweet chocolate chips
    ⅓ c. Hy-Vee chopped walnuts

    Directions

    1. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, butter, water and salt. Cook over low heat until butter is melted.
    2. Increase heat to medium-high, heat until temperature reaches 300 degrees, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
    3. Pour toffee onto a parchment-lined baking sheet; smooth with spatula. Top with chips; when chips start to melt, spread to cover toffee. Sprinkle with walnuts. Refrigerate until chocolate is set; break into pieces.
