Chocolate Peanut Butter Saltine Toffee
Having "just one bite" of this toffee treat is nearly impossible.

|16||Hy-Vee saltine crackers|
|½ c.||Hy-Vee butter|
|½ c.||packed Hy-Vee brown sugar|
|1 ¼ c.||Hy-Vee milk chocolate chips|
|6 tbsp.||Hy-Vee creamy peanut butter|
Things To Grab
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease an 8-by-8-inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Line the bottom of the pan with saltines; set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil over medium heat. Once at a boil, continue to cook without stirring for about 3 minutes. Pour mixture over crackers. Bake for 5 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let sit 1 minute, then gently spread melted chocolate into one layer. Place pan back into the oven for about 3 minutes.
- In a small bowl, microwave peanut butter for 15 to 30 seconds or until melted down. Pour over the chocolate layer. Place pan in the freezer for one hour to chill.
