    2 lbs. ground beef
    1 lbs. bulk Italian sausage
    salt and black pepper, to taste
    2 (15 oz each) cans chili beans
    1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
    1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes
    1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
    1 bay leaf
    ¼ tsp. cumin
    ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
    1 tsp. chili powder

    Directions

    1. Brown ground beef and Italian sausage. Drain. Place in a slow cooker.
    2. Season with salt and pepper.
    3. Stir in chili beans, tomato paste, stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
    4. Cook in slow cooker on HIGH heat for 2 hours.
    5. Add bay leaf, cumin, cayenne pepper and chili powder. Stir until mixed well.
    6. Remove bay leaf before serving.
