    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    ½ c. water
    1 c. butter
    2 c. cashew pieces
    1 tsp. baking soda

    Directions

    1. In a heavy saucepan, heat sugar, syrup and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    2. Bring to boiling. Blend in butter. Stir constantly. Add nuts when it reaches 280 degrees. Stir constantly until it reaches 300 degrees.
    3. Remove from stove and quickly stir in baking soda. Pour onto 2 buttered cookie sheets, spreading as thick or as thin as desired.
    4. Let cool to room temperature. Break into pieces.
