Caramel-Roasted Pears

½ c. packed Hy-Vee brown sugar | ||
2 Bosc pears, halved lengthwise and cored | ||
2 tbsp. Hy-Vee chopped pecans | ||
¼ c. Hy-Vee whipped topping, thawed |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place butter in an 8-by-8-inch baking pan. Place pan in oven until butter is melted. Stir in brown sugar. Lay pears, cut-side-down over brown sugar mixture. Roast 30 minutes.
- Turn pears cut-side-up and sprinkle with pecans. Spoon pan juices over pears. Roast an additional 10 minutes.
- Cool and serve with remaining pan juices and whipped topping.
