    ¼ c. margarine, softened
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    ¾ c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    ¼ tsp. salt
    ½ c. chopped nuts, optional

    Directions

    1. Cream margarine, brown sugar, egg and vanilla.
    2. Add flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Mix well.
    3. Place in greased 8-by-8-inch pan.
    4. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
