    You can use just about any crushed up candy bar, but Butterfingers break and crumble just right for this crunchy coating.

    6 popsicle sticks, or wooden craft sticks
    6 medium tart apples, washed, dried, and stems removed
    1 (14-oz.) pkg. individually wrapped caramels, wrappers removed
    2 tbsp. water
    1 (3.5-oz.) pkg. Nestle Butterfinger Bites or about 2 regular bars, chopped into small pieces

    • Wax paper
    • Large microwave-safe bowl

    Directions

    1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Insert wooden sticks into the stem-end of the apples.

    2. Microwave caramels and water on HIGH in a large microwave-safe bowl; stirring to combine. Microwave at additional intervals for 10 to 20 seconds until smooth.

    3. Dip apples in melted caramel, scraping excess caramel from bottoms. Roll bottom  half of apples quickly in Butterfinger pieces. Set on prepared tray.

    4. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until set. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
