    12 slice(s) Hy-Vee cottage white bread, cut into bite-size cubes, divided
    2 medium apples, peeled, cored, chopped, divided
    6 tbsp. Hy-Vee raisins, divided
    3 large Hy-Vee eggs
    1 ½ c. Hy-Vee half-and-half
    1 c. Hy-Vee granulated sugar
    1 ½ tsp. Hy-Vee cinnamon
    ½ tsp. Hy-Vee nutmeg
    ¼ tsp. allspice
    1 c. plus 3 tbsp frozen vanilla-flavored whipped topping, thawed, divided

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a greased 9-by-13-inch baking dish, layer half the bread crumbs, half the apples and half the raisins. Repeat layers.
    2. In a medium bowl, stir together eggs, half-and-half, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Pour mixture evenly over bread layers.
    3. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve hot with 1 tablespoon whipped topping on each serving.
