  1. 30 Minutes of Golf or Lawn Care

    Did you know that a simple 30 minutes of moderate activity 5 days a week can show significant health benefits for men? The right activity isn’t the same for everyone, choose something you enjoy and physical activity will never be a chore. Physical activity is any intentional movement of your body that uses more energy than resting. Try walking, biking, hiking, swimming, golfing and even gardening. Just remember, any movement is better than no movement.

  2. Keep Your Water Bottle Full and Fruits Close By

    Lots of times when you feel sluggish or run down, you really are just not getting enough fluids. Choose zero to low calorie drinks to keep your hydration elevated but your caloric intake low. Fruits are a great way to stay hydrated as well, some fruits are up to 70% water. 

  3. See Your Doctor, Before You Think You Need To

    It’s true that not many men want to talk about certain things with their physicians, but it’s important to get your yearly physical and your prostate exam. Prostate cancer is one of the most treatable cancers if found early, you owe it to yourself to be pro-active in your prostate health.

  4. Eat All the Colors

    You’ve heard the phrase “Eat the Rainbow” before, well there’s truth to that. Every fruit and vegetable has different vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that your body needs. Think of all the colors down a produce aisle and try to make your plate that colorful. 

  5. Take a Time Out

    Lots of times men feel the need to put in extreme hours at the office, coach every sport, keep their yard immaculate, and other things that keep stress levels elevated. Guess what, you need time to relax and take a deep breath, too. Did you know stress can cause heart disease, high blood pressure, weakened immune response, and tension migraines? Try a few minutes of deep breathing or meditation, get the adequate amount of sleep, walk away from stressful situations, and try to find joy in the little things that happen daily.
