Greek Turkey Meatballs

Serves: 6 (4 meatballs each)

All you need:

  • 1 Hy-Vee large egg
  • 1 c. Hy-Vee whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Hy-Vee paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Hy-Vee oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Hy-Vee thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Hy-Vee ground black pepper
  • 1 pound 93%-lean ground turkey (not ground turkey breast)
  • Tzatziki Sauce and Hy-Vee hot dog or brat buns, for serving

All you do:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine egg, breadcrumbs, paprika, oregano, thyme and pepper in a large bowl. Add ground turkey and mix well.
  3. Shape into 24 meatballs, about 1-1/2 inches in size. Place on a broiler pan and bake for 20 minutes or until internal temperature is 160 degrees.
  4. For tailgating, skewer cooked meatballs ahead of time and reheat on the grill.
  5. If desired, serve with Tzatziki Sauce on hot dog or brat buns.
