Beer-Boiled Shrimp

All you need:

  • 2 c. beer
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 2 tsp Hy-Vee salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 lemon, quartered
  • 2 pounds uncooked medium shrimp

All you do:

  1. Bring beer, garlic, celery, salt and bay leaf to a boil; simmer 10 minutes.
  2. Add lemon and shrimp. Boil 5 to 6 minutes or until shrimp turn pink.
  3. Drain and cool.

4% vitamin C 15% iron
