Stove Top: 1.In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of oil, butter or margarine. 2.Bring contents to a boil on medium-high heat uncovered. 3.Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. 4.Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes COVERED before serving. Microwave**: 1.In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, combine 1 cup of rice mixture, 2 cups of water, and 2 tablespoons butter, margarine or oil and microwave on high for 1 minute. 2.Microwave uncovered on high 10 to 15 minutes or until tender. 3.Remove from microwave and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. **Cook times may vary due to microwave.
