  1. Cooking Directions: Sort green split peas and discard discolored peas. Rinse under cool water; drain. Bring 7-12 cups water to a boil. Stir in 1 lb. green split peas and return to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until desired tenderness is reached, about 30 to 40 minutes.
  2. Green split peas are a natural agricultural product. Despite use of modern cleaning equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Please sort and rinse green split peas before cooking.
