- You’re invited to a grand opening event featuring an appearance by the Wahlberg brothers – Mark, Donnie and Paul.
- The event is FREE and open to the public. The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the West Des Moines Wahlburgers parking lot. For the first hour, the crowd can view clips from the Wahlburgers A&E television show and participate in contests and free giveaways. Lucky fans will be selected for a trivia contest, earning a chance for themselves and a friend to win VIP passes to a private meet-and-greet inside the restaurant following the stage appearance.
- The Wahlberg brothers will then take the stage at approximately 6:30 p.m. along with Hy-Vee CEO Randy Edeker, and address the crowd in a Q&A-style format. The event will conclude about 7 p.m.
- PLEASE NOTE: Attendees can begin lining up near the stage beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21. The Wahlburgers restaurant closes at 11 p.m. that evening, and reopens from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. It will then close for the rest of the day for the private event.
- The 7,015-square-foot restaurant (including a 900-square-foot patio) offers a unique dining experience featuring signature burgers, home-style sides, house-made condiments, fish, chicken and vegetarian options, and a full bar including specialty drinks such as adult frappes and floats. Some of the most popular menu items at the restaurant include the OUR Burger, BBQ Bacon Burger, Tater Tots, Smoked Bacon Mac n’ Cheese, Fluffanuttahh Adult Frappe and Mud Pie Adult Frappe.
- Chef Paul Wahlberg created the franchise along with his brothers to please all tastes through both lighter and heartier menu offerings, served up in a casual, music-filled atmosphere.
- The restaurant opened on Sept. 11. Its regular hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 231, and 17 televisions for patrons to watch their favorite sporting events.
