To support service members when they return to civilian life, Hy-Vee offers newly hired, eligible* veterans the following relocation benefits:
- $5,000 signing bonus with a two-year commitment.
- Transportation of household goods within the continental United States.
- $500 allowance on closing costs of a home purchase through Midwest Heritage.
All veterans and active duty members are also offered a paid day off on Veterans Day and career placement assistance for their spouses and family members within Hy-Vee and their local communities.
*New full-time or regular-time employees who are honorably discharged veterans from the U.S. military within the last 24 months are eligible for veteran benefits. New hires must remain at the location for two years unless promoted within the company, or they may be required to pay back the bonus. Bonus is paid in two installments, $2,500 upon hire and $2,500 upon first employment anniversary.
