My name is Jessica Dolson, but you can call me Jess. I am a recent graduate from IWCC Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management program, July 2012. Since I can remember, I have had a passion for food. Growing up cooking and eating what we grew or raised made me realize how important it is for me to share that passion with others.
My major focus being a chef is education - by holding classes, tasting events, wine dinners and live cooking demonstrations. It is very important to me to teach children what they are eating, and where their food comes from. The first step in educating parents is through their children! I have learned quickly if that you teach kids to eat healthy, show them the nutritional difference between foods, and show them ways to cook a variety of simple dishes, they are more likely to get their parents to cook things that they will eat. The end result is families coming together and enjoying food and each other, and that is what is most important to me as a chef.
