Chef Karen has been cooking since she was a teenager, and finally decided to pursue her passion, graduating from Hennepin Technical college with a culinary arts degree in 1999. Since then she has enjoyed an illustrious culinary career. Chef Karen has had a variety of positions from pastry chef to personal chef, owning her own business “How Sweet it Is” for over 10 years. She brings her enthusiasm for cooking to you, our customer, by helping create unique, easy meals for you and your family. Discover Chef Karen’s creations for yourself. Chef Karen also teaches classes in our Cooking and Lifestyle Club Room monthly. If you have a desire to learn more about cooking, stop by and see Chef Karen on your next visit to your South Minnesota Ave Hy-Vee!

Chef Karen’s hours:  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
