Chef Jonathan was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He started his career at the Satellite Steak House at the age of fourteen. Chef Jonathan spend the first fifteen years of his career in the hotel business, working in such places as the Adams Mark Hotel in Kansas City, the Marriott Hotel in Trumble, Connecticut, and Blue Springs. Chef Jonathan has had the honor of working at the Washington Sheraton, just two blocks from the White House.
Chef Jonathan was also the executive chef of Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas, and worked at the Carriage Club in Kansas City, Missouri. His career has also taken him into the healthcare field. He was the executive chef at the Research Medical Center, and the chef at Villages of Jackson Creek, a retirement community.
