Kids in the Kitchen! Summer Cooking Classes – Food around the World

Cost Per Child: $50 for all 5 summer sessions OR $12 for an individual session.


Class 1 – Norway: Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Class 2 – India: Tuesday, June 16, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Class 3 – America: Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Class 4 – Italy: Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Class 5 – Japan: Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Class Description: Food around the World
Join your Hy-Vee dietitian, Alyssa, and Chef Kris in the kitchen this summer for this kid-friendly cooking class focusing on encouraging kids to try new foods! In each class, kids will scoop, roll, spread, pour, stir up and eat some tasty food creations from around the world.  After class, your child will receive an “I Tried It” sticker. If your child has special dietary needs or food allergies, please tell us when registering. 

Recommended Age: 3- to 11-year-olds.  *A parent or guardian must accompany 3- to 4- year-old children.*

To Attend:  Register at the 70th & Pioneers Hy-Vee customer service counter OR online at www.hy-vee.com under Lincoln #5 Store Events.  Please specify if your child would like to attend all five classes or which of the individual classes your child would like to attend. *Pre-pay at Customer Service at least 24 hours in advance to save your spot.  *A minimum of 6 registered and pre-paid kids, at least 24 hours in advance, is required for a class to run.  *Each class size is limited, so register early!
