With just a finger-stick, you will get the entire lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides) plus glucose in less than 10 minutes. For an accurate test, you must not have had food or beverages with calories for 8 to 12 hours prior to the test. You may continue to take medications and drink water.
