Kids' Garden Club "Get Out and Grow"

Join us and “Get Out and Grow” this summer!
Our new “Get Out and Grow” kids’ garden and cooking program provides a seed-to-table experience for children age 5-12.
Goals of the program
• Children making healthier choices through increased fruit and vegetable intake.
• Teaching the connection of fresh food and good health.
• Teaching preparation of healthier meals.
• Reinforcing positive perceptions of healthy foods.
From June through August, children will visit the garden twice monthly to learn more about vegetables and their importance in maintaining good health. They will explore vegetables using all their senses and assist in the preparation of healthy recipes using produce from the garden.
This program is available to children ages 5–12. The cost is $5.00 per child per class.

Raised bed garden located behind store on Hy-Vee property. $5 each class, sign up for all 6 classes and save $5!
