Recipe Rescue: Block Party Favorites will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Peoria Hy-Vee (North Sheridan Rd, Peoria, IL.) This program is FREE OF CHARGE and is open to the public. Please register by August 19, 2014, by doing one of the following:

Recipe Rescue is a program that illustrates recipes modification for the everyday home chef. Summer party dishes are the star this month. Participants will learn a little more about substituting healthier, more natural options for high-fat, high-calorie, highly processed ingredients while the flavor never misses a beat. Participants will receive recipes, watch cooking demonstrations and get to taste samples that will leave them anxious to try it in their own homes. This program will keep anyone motivated to eat healthfully, even at a party, and also provides some new, healthy ideas of what to plan for your next block party!
