Come to the Johnson Avenue Hy-Vee where Linn County Safe Kids Coalition and Unity Point – St. Luke’s Hospital are partnering up to offer free bicycle helmets for kids. Safety professionals from both organizations will be there to fit bike helmets. Children can bring their own helmets to be checked and fitted. If they don’t have one or need a new one, a FREE helmet will be provided (while supplies last). Children must be present to get a new helmet. We’ll have a variety of sizes for toddlers up through teenagers. The Cedar Rapids Police Department will be on hand with safe biking tips.
