The Linn County Safe Kids Coalition will be holding a bike rodeo and helmet giveaway for kids on Tuesday, July 8th (4-6 p.m.). Children who bring their bicycles on this date will be able to learn about bike safety and participate in different stations of the rodeo (riding around cones, making turns, using hand signals, etc.). Children are required to wear a helmet to take part in the rodeo. If a child needs a new helmet, whether he/she participates in the rodeo or not, he/she can get one for free which will be fitted by a safety professional. The child MUST be present to get a new helmet. This is a free event; however, donations will be accepted.
