One Step Russet Potatoes Help Fund Pineview Elementary School Garden

Proceeds from the sale of One Step potatoes help fund community gardens that teach those in need about health and nutrition through the process of planting, tending and harvesting their own fruits and vegetables.
Iowa Falls Hy-Vee received a One Step Community Garden Grant and has been using it to help Pineview Elementary School further develop its school garden. Each week the Iowa Falls Hy-Vee dietitian goes to the garden on Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and teaches kids about the plants growing in the garden. The kids help weed the garden. Once that is done, the entire group gathers and makes a recipe using some of the garden’s fresh produce.
Pineview Elementary is at 1510 Washington Avenue in Iowa Falls.
