“Sprouts - Get Out and Grow” Kids' Garden

The “ Sprouts-Get Out and Grow” kids’ garden and cooking program will provide a seed to table experience for young children to foster a love of vegetables.
Goals of the program
• Children making healthier choices through increased fruit and vegetable intake.
• Teaching the connection of fresh food and good health.
• Teaching preparation of healthier meals.
• Reinforcing positive perceptions of healthy foods.
From June 6 through August 22, children will visit the garden weekly to learn more about vegetables and their importance in maintaining good health. They will explore vegetables using all their senses and assist in the preparation of healthy recipes using produce from the garden. This program is available to children kindergarten through 3rd grade.
The cost is $10.00 per child per class. Registration is available at Customer Service at your Sycamore Hy-Vee.
