While studying and traveling throughout Italy , Chef Denise Bushnell, Kirkwood culinary graduate, came to greatly appreciate many things - fresh seafood (still quite alive when it arrived at market), the mysterious color and sweetness of blood oranges, the taste of real aged Italian Parmesan, and of course, the versatility of olive oil. In this class, Chef Denise will share some of the wonders that she discovered in Italy with this menu: Orange and Shrimp Salad, a unique combination of citrus and fresh seafood on crisp, bitter greens with a citrus vinaigrette; Three-Cheese Spaghetti Pie, a special combination of aged Parmesan, fontina and asiago cheeses combined with cherry tomatoes, spaghetti and fresh herbs; and finish with the velvety texture of an olive oil cake. Sample a complementary wine and take home the recipes for this one-of-kind impressive dinner. Pre-registration required. Must be 21 & over to sample wine.
