Ingredients:

  • 1 c. Hy-Vee Select white wine vinegar
  • 6 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips lemon zest
  • 6 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips lime zest
  • 8 (1/4-inch by 2-inch) strips orange zest

All you do

  1. Bring vinegar to a boil in the microwave or in a small saucepan.
  2. Place lemon, lime and orange zest in clean glass jar; add vinegar. Cover the top of the jar with plastic wrap and cover with lid. The vinegar should not come in contact with metal.
  3. *Scrub citrus fruits well. Use a vegetable peeler to remove citrus zest. Cut zest into 1/4-inch wide strips.
  4. **Do not eat zest.
